The best comedy on demand

This week's best comedy shows on demand.

In Transit

In 2013, the Idiot Bastard Band – Adrian Edmondson, Phill Jupitus, Rowland Rivron and Neil Innes – piloted a Radio 4 show about their exploits on tour, interspersed with their songs.

A series was commissioned, but was abandoned, so the pilot never made it to air. However, now it has been made available via the largesse of producer Steve Doherty, who has posted it on the website of his company Giddy Goat Productions. Here it is.

Brexit Stage Left

As we've previously reported, the Viceland channel commissioned comedians Sean McLoughlin, Fern Brady, Jamali Maddix, Alfie Brown to take to the streets – and comedy clubs – of Europe to find out what other nationalities think of Britain's decision to leave the EU.

The programme was made for broadcast on the digital channel, but the first episode, set in Copenhagen, has been posted online.

It is built largely around Brown's travels, thoughts of raising a family in a post-Brexit Britain, and stand-up set, is available here:

The Last Leg: Correspondents

The spin-off to Channel 4's hit topical show has hit on-demand service All 4 this week. Each episode features an up-and-coming comic sent out into the world to report back on the issues of the day since the experts and pollsters keep getting it wrong.

Richard Gadd and Ivo Graham are among those lined up for future episodes, but in this opening eight-minute film, introduced by Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, Muslim comedian Tez Ilyas wonders what it takes to radicalise people.

The wide-ranging conversation has much to say, especially about how both comedy and music was once so deeply rooted in a sense of place, before the country in general, and entertainment in particular, became more homogenised.  But there's plenty to on Stew's comedy techniques, the economics of touring – and a bit of musical anorakism.

Live From The BBC

Fresh from co-starring with Ricky Gervais on his movie Life On The Road,  Doc Brown - aka Ben Bailey Smith -– is the second comedian in this  BBC Three series of half-hour iPlayer specials. With a combinaion of rap and stand-up, the ever-entertaining Brown dissects country life, fatherhood and being cool
