Jim Jefferies Show comes to the UK

Comedy Central to air late-night programme

Jim Jefferies’s new Comedy Central show is coming to the UK, Chortle can reveal.

The late-night programme – which hit headlines after recruiting Brad Pitt as a weatherman – is to be screened on the British sister channel from next Friday.

Exact scheduling has yet to be announced, although it airs at 10.30pm in the States.

Comedy Central has ordered ten half-hour episodes of the series, following a successful pilot last year. The first episode of the half-hour show won 490,000 viewers last week, broadly similar to the networks other recent late-night launch, The President Show.

Appearing on Conan O’Brien’s show last night,  Jefferies revealed that Pitt was only paid the union mimimm $400 to appear on his show. ‘He’s very reasonable,’ he said.

The show is also screened on Foxtel in Australia;  The Comedy Channel in Canada; and Comedy Central in Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

Here’s Pitt’s second appearance on the show this week:
