Westminster Abbey to say ‘goodbye to him’

And fans can attend Ronnie Corbett memorial

Westminster Abbey is to hold a thanksgiving service for Ronnie Corbett

Fans of the comedian, who died March last year at the age of 85, will be able to attend.

There will be readings and tributes from the likes of Jimmy Tarbuck, Rob Brydon, Joanna Lumley and Sir Michael Parkinson, together with stirring music from the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Abbey choir and organ.

The commemorative event is being put together by the abbey with Corbett’s family and the BBC, and takes place on Wednesday June 7 at midday.

Fans can apply for free tickets from the Westminster Abbey website.
