Has the BBC ordered more from Philomena Cunk?
BBC Two has ordered more Philomena Cunk specials, it has been reported.
Diane Morgan will be reprising her role as the uninterested journalist in three new episodes, according to the Radio Times.
However details are still being finalised, including the topics of the new investigations. But they are expected to air later this year.
Today’s news follow the success of the Cunk on Shakespeare and Cunk on Christmas spin-offs from Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.
Earlier this year Morgan mooted that forthcoming episodes could be Cunk on Punk, Cunk on Modern Art and Cunk on Jane Austen.
The specials could be timely as Austen died 200 years ago this July; while the Sex Pistols released their only studio album, Never Mind The Bollocks, 40 years ago this October.
Morgan is also starring in the forthcoming series of Motherland, which was commissioned following a successful pilot last year.
It is written by Graham Linehan, Sharon Horgan, Helen Linehan and Holly Walsh, and also stars Anna Maxwell Martin.
