Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule gets a second encounter

ITV renews series

ITV has ordered a second series of Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule to air next year.

Hill said: ‘I’m thrilled to hear it’s coming back! It was a lot of fun to make and judging by the fact that no aliens have invaded this year, it's clearly working.’

Executive producer Mob Dar added: ‘Harry and the team are over the moon ITV want more Alien Fun Capsule. We've checked his availability, and crucially, it's a thumbs up from Alan the Alien, too.’

The current series finished tonight and has been generating weekly average audiences of more than four million, including the repeat

Guests in the first series have included Kathy Burke, Joe Lycett, Josh Widdicombe and Nish Kumar.

The new series was ordered by Saskia Schuster, ITV’s comedy commissioner, who said: ‘It can only get sillier.’
