'I will be fully naked'

WTF Comic Relief special

The BBC has released some details of its Comic Relief telethon next Friday, with the show coming from a comedy club set built inside London's O2 and hosts including Sir Lenny Henry, Joe Lycett, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Warwick Davis, Sally Phillips, Jonathan Ross and French & Saunders.

Here are some things we now know, some of which have already been reported:

Greg Davies will be sitting in a hot tub at the top of the O2. 'Know that I will be fully naked,' Davies said. 'I am committed to this, and I think I'll be the first person to be fully naked on top of The O2, so I shall be breaking records as well.'

• Rob Beckett once wrapped his bedroom up in tin foil… in a prank that somehow raised money for Comic Relief. The video, from way before he was famous, is still online:

Joe Lycett and Johnny Vegas are going to run a pizza restaurant.

• Smack The Pony trio Fiona Allen, Doon Mackichan and Sally Phillips are to reunite for the first time since 2003, performing some sketches from he hit show.

• Incidentally, Phillips once auctioned herself for marriage for £2,000 for Sport Relief – but didn't get any takers.

• Diane Morgan is to revive Philomena Cunk for a look at charity, while other sketches will include David Walliams playing a middle-class Jeremy Kyle, and Rebecca Front, Russell Brand and Frankie Boyle attending 'Hecklers Anonymous' meeting.

Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are bringing back The Stotts to interview a special celebrity guest.

• Matt Berry will voice an appeal film as Toast Of London.

When Joe Lycett was at school he dyed my hair red for Comic Relief, but he recalls: ‘The deputy head teacher took me into his office and told me that it wasn’t allowed though so I had to go and wash it out. Though because I am blonde my hair went ginger so I stayed ginger for the rest of the day.’

• And while she was at school Luisa Omielan used to raise money for Comic Relief by making Rocky Road - but admits: 'It tasted disgusting.'

• There will be previews of the next series of Peter Kay's Car Share and Mrs Brown's Boys on the night.

• Ed Sheeran is appearing in a special edition of People Just Do Nothing. This teaser clip has already been released:

The Red Nose Day telethon will run from 7pm to 2.30am on BBC One on March 24, breaking for the 10 O'Clock News, when it switches to BBC Two for Greg Davies's hot tub segment.
