MARK DOLAN has been eliminated from The Jump on its second week, after recording the shortest distance in his ski-jump. But the comedian said the Channel 4 reality show  was ‘the best thing I’ve done in my life.’

MEANWHILE, Des Bishop was voted off Dancing With The Stars, Irish broadcaster RTE’s version of Strictly Come Dancing. The comic said there was ‘quite strong booing’ when he and professional partner Giulia Dotta took to the dancefloor last night,but he said the whole experience was ‘so much fun’.

ALEX HORNE is developing a new game show for BBC One. Trade magazine Broadcast reports that he is working on a show called The Button – but could reveal few other details. Horne previously created Taskmaster, which he co-hosts with Greg Davies, for Dave.

PATTON OSWALT his won this year’s best comedy Grammy Award for his stand-up special, Talking For Clapping, ahead of fellow nominees David Cross, Margaret Cho, Tig Notaro and Amy Schumer. The comic said last night’s victory was ‘bittersweet’ after a rough year in which his wife died at 46 from an  undiagnosed heart condition.

JOHN BISHOP has announced a batch of warm-up dates for his Winging It arena tour. More than 30 work-in-progress shows will be staged at sizeable theatres from April to July, with tickets priced £20 to £25. Schedule and tickets.
