Sam Bain pens a 'dark comedy drama' for iPlayer

Produced by the Inbetweeners creators

Peep Show creator Sam Bain has written a dark new comedy-drama for the BBC.

Filming is underway on Ill Behaviour, which is being made by The Inbetweeners creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley's Fudge Park Productions.

An hour-long feature for iPlayer, the comedy is directed by The League of Gentleman and Little Britain's Steve Bendelack and produced by Gill Isles, whose credits include Peter Kay's Car Share and Hebburn.

The cast includes Starfish star Tom Riley, 24's Christina Chong, Jessica Regan and Anjana Vasan.

Filming is currently taking place at Bristol's Castle Park, which was also recently a location for the E4 comedy-horror Crazyhead.

It was Morris that gave Bain and his writing partner Jesse Armstrong (both pictured above) their big break by greenlighting Peep Show when he was a commissioner at Channel 4.

The duo, whose other high-profile hits include Fresh Meat and the Chris Morris film Four Lions, have recently had their melodramatic soap spoof, Bad Sugar, which they piloted for Channel 4, picked up for adaptation by Fox.

They are also serving as executive producers on the third attempt to remake Peep Show for America with the Starz channel.
