New shorts for All 4

Channel 4 has released a new transgendered comedy series.

In A Trans Guide to Winning at Life, vlogger Lewis Hancox meet his past self, a confused teenage girl, struggling to fit in at school.

Six three-minute episodes have been released on the All 4 on-demand platform, with titles such as Love Ta Selfie, Coming Out To Mum and The Bad Dad Club.

Producers Factory Films say: ’26-year-old Lewis is annoyed by his morose, female past self, who’s using a time-travelling portal to visit him. The troubled teen wants to know how to navigate life’s daily problems pre-transition – when he was still a girl but desperately wanted to be a boy.’

And C4 commissioning editor Emily Jones said: ‘Lewis is a rare find - warm, relatable and naturally funny. He brings his own vulnerability to his work which just adds to its charm. I think we will be seeing a lot more of him.’

The show comes just weeks after BBC Two announced the end of Boy Meets Girl, the first mainstream British sitcom to feature a transgender lead character.
