Comic joins ITV2 spin-off

Chris Ramsey is to host ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here spin-off show.

The comic will join reality TV stars Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison as well as longstanding host Joe Swash for the newly renamed I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp.

Ramsey said: ‘I'm a big fan of I'm A Celeb. I watch and talk about it every year, so it will be a delight to do it as a job this year in Australia! And it’s an absolute bonus that I won't have to taste kangaroo anus.’

The show, formerly called I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, NOW!, has been co-hosted by Brendon Burns, Russell Kane, Rob Beckett and David Morgan in previous years.

It will air live on ITV2 each night after the main show on ITV and feature unseen clips, interviews and the hosts facing their fears in the bush tucker trials. 

Swash said: ‘I’m a Celebrity is always my most favourite time of the year.  I cannot wait to be back at my second home with a new gang of people. As always I’m sure this series will be the best one yet.’

Rosemary Newell, ITV’s head of digital channels, said: ‘It’s all change for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here on ITV2 this year.  We have a brilliant new on-screen presenting line-up that includes an ex-King and two ex-Queens of the Jungle.’

The show returns in early November.
