Trigger Happy returns as online shorts

TRIGGER HAPPY will return as a series of eight five- and six- minute shorts, which will be available online via All4 from September 26, the broadcaster has announced. Dom Joly has updated the character with the massive mobile phone but otherwise the series features all new creations. Chortle first reported on the hidden camera show's return last year.

ABSOLUTE RADIO is staging a comedy benefit at the London Palladium. Al Murray, Mark Watson, Zoe Lyons and Tom Allen have been confirmed for the event on November 27, which will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It will be MCed by Absolute Radio breakfast show host Christian O'Connell, who came up with the idea on air. Tickets, priced £29.15 to £51.15 are available here.

DANIEL KISTON is taking his theatre show Mouse – The PersistenceOf An Unlikely Thought to New York this autumn. The show, about a writer who receives an odd phone call in the storage unit he's made into an office, will run at St Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn from November 9 to 27. AMY POEHLER has won her first Emmy – after being nominated eight times for playing Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation. She and Tina Fey shared the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series award at Saturday night's Creative Arts Emmys, for co-hosting Saturday Night Live. 

DENNIS LEARY's American comedy series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll has been cancelled by the FX network, Hollywood website Deadline reports.
