TV: The Horrible Histories team are back for a one-off special marking the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London. Guest star is Robert Webb playing Christopher Wren, whose St Paul's Cathedral that rose from the ashes.CBBC, 5pm

TV: The next pilot in the BBC's Landmark Sitcom season is We The Jury, written by serial Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee James Acaster.  Ed Easton plays William, living his lifelong dream to serve on a jury, who turn out to be a mismatched collection of enthusiastic fools, inconsiderate bullies and self-obsessed weirdos. BBC Two, 10pm

TV: Dara O Briain's Go 8 Bit starts on Dave, with guests Susan Calman and David James, the former England goalkeeper, joining team captains Steve McNeil and  Sam Pamphilon for a series of video game challenges. This week: Tetris, Chuckie Egg, Tekken, Star Wars Battlefront and special endgame Bust-A-Moob. 10pm

LIVE IN LONDON: A proper star-studded night at the Comedy Store in aid of The Ellenor Lions Hospice boasts Jack Dee, Andy Parsons, Marcus Brigstocke, Sara Pascoe and Charlie Baker – all for £15. It's hosted by Kevin McCarthy.

TV: The 12 days of Paralympics action launches with  Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker presenting The Last Leg: Welcome to Rio, the first of their nightly despatches from the Games. Channel 4, 8pm

RADIO: Mark Steel returns to Radio 4 for a seventh series of  In Town, in which he tours  the country researching the history and culture of various communities to performs a bespoke evening of comedy for the local residents. In the first programme, Mark visits the Lancashire town of Stockport, once the centre of the hatting industry. Other towns featured in the series are Colchester in Essex, Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Lynton in North Devon, and Gibraltar. Radio 4. 6.30pm

RADIO: The Pin returns to Radio 4 for a second series with Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen offering their twist on the double-act sketch show. In episode one they are trying to win an Oscar. Radio 4.11pm

LIVE IN MANCHESTER: It's an excellent line-up at the Comedy Store this weekend, with inventive veteran Adam Bloom and the impishly charming Joe Lycett compered by Sean Meo. They are joined by Matt Green and the hyperactively funny Felicity Ward on Friday and Saturday.
