Stewart Lee releases a show on 10in green vinyl

New format for Pea Green Boat

Stewart Lee’s 2002 show Pea Green Boat has been re-released – on a 10-inch pea-green vinyl.

Pea Green Boat LeeThe 21-minute show deconstructs Edward Lear’s The Owl and the Pussycat, and when Chortle reviewed it at the 2002 Edinburgh Fringe, we described it as ‘a spellbinding mood piece, where the mood is uncertainty, but with rich seams of laugh-out-loud comedy’.

An edited version was broadcast on Radio 4 in 2004, but this recording, produced by Jane Watkins, who also provided music, was originally released by Cardiff-based indie label Go Faster Stripe in 2007.

Now the label has released this collector’s edition, which is available from its website and after Lee’s Content Provider gigs, now at the Fringe and on tour from the autumn.

The LP includes an MP3 download and is priced £15. The download is also available separately for £2.50, or as a physical CD for £6.
