Sam Kinison's final stand-up special

The best comedy on demand

This week's round-up of the best comedy shows on demand.

Sam Kinison: Family Entertainment Hour

New on Netflix, this is Kinison's 1991 HBO special – and his final one, as he died in a car crash the following year at the age of 38. He's probably not at his peak here, there's perhaps too much indulgence for the rock 'n' roll ethos, which extends to singing with his band, and a lot more swagger than material. Nor are the jokes exactly enlightened. But it's an interesting look at a self-confessed 'boozy bastard-from-hell' revelling in his excess and bad-boy status.

Kenneth Williams

This is a rare interview about the Carry On films and more which has just been unearthed in the archives of vintage DVD experts Network Distributing. It was recorded during filming of the 1978 film version of Hound Of The Baskervilles in which Williams plays Sir Henry Baskerville alongside Peter Cook and Dudley Moore as Holmes and Watson.

Welcome To Wherever You Are

Andrew Maxwell presents a global stand-up show for Radio 4, with guests beaming in their sets from around the world. This one-off features Sakdiyah Ma'ruf in Jakarta, Igor Meerson in St Petersburg and Guy Branum in Los Angeles Listen
