A tight 5: June 17

BILL BAILEY is to play Latitude. The comic heads a new batch of names announced for the Suffolk festival today that also includes Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan and Inside No 9's Reece Shearsmith, who will be guesting on a Book Shambles session hosted by Robin Ince and Josie Long. Other additions include America's Got Talent finalist Piff The Magic Dragon, visiting US comic Jen Kirkman, and internet favourite Jonathan Pie. The festival takes place from July 15 to 17.

SHARON HORGAN has been named best comedy actress at a major international TV festival. Her role in Catastrophe scooped her the Golden Nymph, as voted by judges at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. Best comedy went to Better Call Saul, whose star Bob Odenkirk was named best actor. A separate audience-voted award for best comedy went to The Big Bang Theory.

PETER KAY's Car Share and Julia Davis's Sky Atlantic series Camping have been nominated for new programme of the year at the Edinburgh TV Awards, alongside The Real Marigold Hotel, The Night Manager, Doctor Foster and Murdered By My Boyfriend.

BILL BURR has added dates in Belfast (August 1) and Galway (August 2) to his short tour of UK and Ireland this summer. Full schedule and ticket links here.

LOUIS CK has revealed that Better Things, the comedy series he co-created with Louie collaborator Pamela Adlon will premiere on America's FX network on September 8. In the show Adlon stars as a struggling single mother and middle-class actress.
