Greg Burns to leave Capital Radio

Comic heads to Sydney

Comedian Greg Burns is leaving his Capital Radio show and moving to Australia.

The stand-up is heading to Sydney after more than eight years with Capital network, where he hosts the London drivetime show.

He thanked Capital ‘for allowing me to live out my boyhood dream’ adding: ‘I’m excited to be heading to Sydney’, where he will be taking over Nova’s mid-morning show.

Ashley Tabor, Capital’s managing editor, said: ‘Greg has been on the Capital team for a long time and he’s a big part of the family – we wish him the very best for his future. Greg is an outstanding presenter, and he’s welcome at Global Towers any time he’s in town.’

Former Kiss presenter Will Manning will be taking over Burns’s slot, starting from June 20.
