Jack Dee's HelpDesk to return

Three episodes for EU referendum

BBC Two has commissioned three new episodes of Jack Dee's HelpDesk to air in the weeks leading up to the EU referendum.

The show will again feature the stand-up and four comedy guests discuss dilemmas raised by the audience – but this time all the issues will be related to Europe.

Dee said: ‘I'm really looking forward to bringing HelpDesk back to BBC Two, so come to me if you have questions about anything from bendy bananas to fraudulent car exhaust claims and much much more. We all know it all depends on how far the England team get in the Euro 2016 football championship anyway’

Jack Dee's HelpDesk first aired on BBC Two last year for three specials tied in with the General Election.  The series aired at 10pm with a viewing peak of 1.2 million and guests included: Romesh Ranganathan, Aisling Bea, Jeremy Hardy, Katherine Ryan and Johnny Vegas.

Alan Tyler, the BBC’s acting controller of entertainment commission said: ‘We are delighted to have him back in the schedule once again bringing the truly important issues to the fore.’

The half-hour shows, made by Dee’s production company Open Mike, will air from early June.
