DUTCH comedian Hans Teeuwen is to return to the UK this autumn for his first tour in six year. He will bring his new show Real Rancour for runs at the Soho Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre as well as one-offs in Brighton, Harrogate, Salford, Nottingham, Norwich and Cambridge. Yesterday he sold out all  60,000 tickets of the same show in Belgium and the Netherlands, and the UK dates go on sale on Monday. Dates.

DAVID BADDIEL has announced his new stand-up show, My Family: Not The Sitcom. The show, which will debut at London's Menier Chocolate Factory on May 10 with a six-week run, is described as a 'massively disrespectful' celebration of both the 'colourful sex life' of Baddiel's late mother, Sarah, and of his dementia-ridden father, Colin, offering a comment on 'what you can and can't say in an over-policed moral culture'. Tickets go on general sale on March 2.

COMEDIANS including Andrew O'Neill Joanna Neary and Pat Cahill have been nominated for awards at Dave's Leicester comedy festival. And the 'Liberty Award' will see the strange clash of the Weirdo's alternative comedy collection up against the High Sheriffs of Leicestershire & Rutland, among others. THE BRIGHTON Fringe has announced its line-up, with 275 comedy shows, including Max and Ivan, Larry Dean, Gein's Family Giftshop and Jessica Fostekew. The festival runs from May 6 to June 5 with tickets going on general sale from March 3. Website.

JEAN-CLAUDE Van Damme is set to star in his own comedy – playing a heightened version of himself in Jean-Claude Van Johnson. Amazon Studios has ordered a pilot version of the show, about an actor/martial arts pro who comes out of retirement to film an action version of Huckleberry Finn.
