New radio series for John Shuttleworth

Lounge Music to return

Radio 4 has commissioned a second series of John Shuttleworth’s Lounge Music.

Another four half-hour episodes will air in the autumn, with the Sheffield singer-songwriter inviting musical guests to his home to sing one of his songs – and one of their own ‘if they are lucky’.

Guests in the first series, which aired in the summer of 214, were Chas ’n’ Dave, Heaven 17, Toyah Wilcox and Leee John from Imagination. However the line-up for the new run is yet to be announced.

It will be the ninth series Shuttleworth, the alter-ego of Graham Fellows, has had on the station since The Shuttleworths began in 1993, and it will be made Chic Ken Productions, the company he set up with his agent Richard Bucknall.

Meanwhile, Fellows will be appearing as Shuttleworth in an edition of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip at 7pm tonight. He will be competing in the BBC Two show with style guru Wayne Hemingway.
