Frankie Boyle has added more than 20 dates to his Hurt Like You've Never Been Loved tour for next year. Tickets went on sale at 10am today. Dates and links here.

DOM JOLY has joined the expedition to stage a stand-up gig on Everest. The Trigger Happy creator and travel writer will join Alan Davies, Craig Campbell and Glenn Wool to perform at base camp on April 16, setting a new world record for the world's highest stand-up comedy gig on land. Fifty comedy fans – who each have to raise at least £1,000 for Save The Children as well as the £2,250 fee – will join them the nine-day trek. More details.

MACKENZIE CROOK's Detectorists continues to be a ratings hit for BBC Four, attracting 539,000 viewers to the channel last night, according to overnight figures.

MEANWHILE, the audience for the opening episode of series nine of Peep Show has swelled to 2million, after consolidation of all the viewers – 800,000 in total – who watched on demand within a week of its broadcast. This week's second episode was seen by only 713,000 as it aired, but Channel 4 will be hoping for a similar boost when the +7 day figures are counted.
