Rory McGrath has announced his first ever solo tour. The They Think It’s All Over and Three Men In A Boat comic has announced 23 dates of Rory McGrath Remembers (…Or Is It Forgets) starting in February. Publicity blurb says the show ‘sees Rory looking back over his life and wondering if he can remember any of it… If not he’ll make it up.’ Click here for the full tour dates.

THE three lead characters in ITV sitcom Vicious have been nominated for the Older People Media Awards. Freddie Thornhill, played by Sir Ian McKellan, Stuart Bixby played by Sir Derek Jacobi and Violet Crosby, played by Frances de la Tour have all been nominated for ‘best older person’s character in a book, film, TV or radio drama’ alongside Mary Baldwin in the BBC Two film Marvellous, played by Gemma Jones, Frank Derrick in the book Frank Derrick’s Holiday of a Lifetime by JB Morrison, and Sherlock Holmes in Mr Holmes – again played by Sir Ian McKellan. Winners in the awards, run by website Gransnet, are decided by public vote, which opens tomorrow here.

ANIMATED sitcom Bob’s Burgers has been renewed for two more seasons. The order from the Fox network will take the run up to eight. Comedy Central recently bought the rights to air the show, starring H. Jon Benjamin, Kirsten Schaal and Eugene Mirman, in the UK.

NOMINATIONS have been released for the Aria Awards, the top accolades in the Australian record industry. Up for best comedy release are Sammy J & Randy Live; Ronny Chieng: Chieng Reaction; Matt Okine Live At The Enmore Theatre; Buddy Goode: Songs To Ruin Every Occasion; and Bondi Hipster: Fuhck The Banks.

JERRY SEINFELD is to play his first stand-up show in Israel. The comic, who was born in Brooklyn to Jewish parents from the Ukraine and Syria, will perform in Tel Aviv’s Mitvtachim Menorah Arena on December 19.
