Edinburgh award picks its top ten

The ten finalists in the Amused Moose Comedy Award have been announced at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The winner will be chosen after each performs a ten-minute extract from their show at a final at The Space @ Symposium Hall at 1.15pm this Sunday.

The Top Ten 2015 are:

Abbie Murphy: Have a Word (1:20pm at The Counting House as part of Free Festival)

Alistair Barrie: No More Stage 3 (3:45pm at Movement as part of PBH’s Free Fringe)

Ian Smith: Whereabouts (7pm at the Pleasance Courtyard)

Jess Robinson: The Rise Of Mighty Voice (9:40pm at the Pleasance Dome)

John Hastings: Marked From The Start (9:40pm at the Pleasance Courtyard)

Markus Birdman: Grimm Reaities (3:40pm at The Canons’ Gait as part of PBH’s Free Fringe)

Richard Gadd: Waiting For Gaddot (11:30pm at The Banshee Labrynth as part of PBH’s Free Fringe)

Scott Bennett: About a Roy (Stories About Me Dad) (4:20pm at Just the Tonic At The Mash House)

Stephen Bailey: Should’ve Been A Popstar (4:15pm at the Pleasance Courtyard)

Stuart Goldsmith: An Hour (4:55pm at The Canons’ Gait as part of PBH’s Free Fringe)

The Amused Moose award, which does not have a cash prize, is open to all shows listed in the comedy section of the Edfringe website for at least 15 dates, by performers whose shows have not previously been nominated for a major comedy award.
