ITV2 signs up Rubberbandits

To commentate on new physical game show

The Rubberbandits are to provide an ‘anarchic’ commentary to a new game show launching later this year.

ITV2’s The Almost Impossible Game Show comes from the producers of Total Wipeout and includes such tricky physical challenges as riding a tiny bike at speed along a very narrow beam, shaking Velcro croissants off a Velcro bodysuit and putting on a pair of trousers while sprinting on a treadmill.

The tasks are so difficult that contestants are given 50 ‘lives’ to complete just five of them. Fail and they must try again, and again, and again…

Limerick comedy hip-hop duo Blindboy Boatclub and Mr Chrome will be providing the voiceover, which producers Endemol Shine say will be a twisted, surreal take on the action’.

Six hour-long shows will air on ITV2 later this year.
