Noel Fielding cancels New York shows

'Unforeseen scheduling conflicts' blamed

<> Noel Fielding has been forced to cancel his sold-out week of performances in New York with less than two weeks’ notice.

The star had been due to play the off-Broadway Theater for the New City for six nights from June 8.

Part of his current Evening With… tour, the shows were his first US performances since the days of The Mighty Boosh.

However, promoters WestBeth Entertainment have today told ticket-holders that the full run has been axed because of ‘unforeseen scheduling conflicts with cast and crew’.

They promise that the gigs will be ‘rescheduled for a date to be determined – however, fans will initially be given a full refund.

A spokesman said: ‘Current ticket holders will be contacted by the promoter, WestBeth Entertainment, to be given a full refund and will also be given the opportunity to purchase the same number of tickets to the new dates before they go on sale to the general public.’

Yesterday it was revealed that Fielding’s panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks has been dropped by the BBC after 18 years.
