ALTERNATIVE cabaret veteran Lorraine Bowen is to appear on Britain's Got Talent tonight. GREG DAVIES has split from Liz Kendall, the MP bidding to become leader of the Labour party. The couple had been together for several years bu have parted amicably, the Leicester West MP said in an interview with the Mirror today. They are believed to have split last year.

JIM GAFFIGAN has released the first episode of his new sitcom online. The show, based on his life as a stand-up with five kids in New York and written entirely by Gaffigan and his wife Jeannie Noth, is due to launch on the TV Land network this summer. But the first episode, about him being 'outed' as a Christian and featuring guest appearances from Jon Stewart and Chris Rock, is available here.

JONATHAN ROSS had to drop out of the Channel 4 Comedy Gala in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital at London's O2 last night. He tweeted that he was 'at home being very sick. Hopefully be there next year.’

SARAH SILVERMAN has joined the cast of the The Lonely Island movie. She will play the 'sharp and sarcastic' publicist of Andy Samberg's character – a rapper whose album bombs so he must of a reunion gig with his former boy band. The as-yet untitled musical comedy started shooting in Los Angeles this week.
