NETFLIX has ordered a new comedy series from stand-up Aziz Ansari. The comic created the as-yet untitled show with Parks & Recreation co-executive producer Alan Yang, and it will be shot in New York. Details of the premise are being kept under wraps but the cast will include H. Jon Benjamin and Eric Wareheim.

JUST under a million viewers tuned in to Channel 4's topical political comedy Ballot Monkeys last night, broadly in line with the broadcaster's average audience for the 10pm slot. Review.

CHANNEL 4 has named the guests for the new series of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, which returns on May 5. Playing the game over the series will be Lee Mack, Kathy Burke, Rhod Gilbert, Sara Pascoe, Kevin Bridges, Sarah Millican, Bill Bailey, Rob Delaney, Paul Foot and Romesh Ranganathan. And the Dictionary Corner guests will include Johnny Vegas, Joe Lycett, Nina Conti – and Joey Essex.

BBC TWO has confirmed that Charlie Brooker's Election Wipe will air on Wednesday, May 6 at 9pm, on the eve of polling day.

AND Radio 4 has set an air date for Holly Walsh's new etiquette-based panel show Best Behaviour – May 7. Guests over the six-part series include Sarah Millican, Clive Anderson, Rob Beckett, Katherine Ryan, Isy Sutie, Romesh Ranganathan, Mark Steel, Lloyd Langford, Richard Herring and Joe Lycett.
