Miranda and Detectorists have been named the best sitcoms of 2014 by the comedy.co.uk Awards.

But it was a radio show that won the top Comedy Of 2014 award, John Finnemore’s Cabin Pressure, in which he stars with Stephanie Cole, Benedict Cumberbatch and Roger Allam./p>

The show also won the best radio sitcom category, while John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme picked up the accolade for best British radio sketch show./p>

The awards are decided upon entirely by a public vote, with no shortlist or jury – or even awards ceremony.

Dapper Laughs: On The Pull was, perhaps unexpectedly, the programme that polled the most negative votes./p>
