Not just This Comedian...

Comedy highlights of the week

Today

TV: It's survived cancellations before, but this time it really is the end for Futurama, after ten universe-trotting series. The animation signs off with an episode first broadcast in the States in September 2013 with Fry, Leela and Bender heading to the moon, where they made their first delivery together – and the hapless Fry finally popping a long overdue question to a certain purple-haired cyclops. Sky 1, 6.30pm

LIVE IN GLASGOW: It's the first of three 'Nous Sommes Charlie' benefits at the Stand Comedy Clubs this week, in aid of the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks and in support of the principles of free speech. Tonight's gig features Des Clarke, Susan Calman and Fred MacAulay among others. Gavin Webster and Martin Mor are on the bill in Newcastle tomorrow, and Dylan Moran headlines in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

LIVE IN LONDON: This Comedian is a gig in which stand-ups including Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan and James Acaster talk about what it means to be a comedian. Held at the West End's Duchess Theatre, it's a fundraiser for photographer Idil Sukan - whose images have graced many an Edinburgh poster - as she puts together the money to stage an exhibition of comics' portraits next month.

LIVE IN LONDON: Dane Baptiste earned himself a best newcomer nod at Edinburgh last year for this deft debut, Citizen Dane, transferring experience acquired on the black circuit into a confident Fringe show about not really fitting in. Review.

LIVE IN LONDON: The ever-inventive Pajama Men are back at the Soho Theatre with a mix of classic bits, new material and improvised tangents they call their Pterodactyl Nights - from tonight till Saturday.

LIVE IN BRIGHTON: Richard Gadd brings Breaking Gadd, his intense, twisted whodunit from the edge of sanity to the Caroline of Brunswick for a one-night stand. Review.

LIVE IN LONDON A nicely diverse bill in the swanky surrounds of Amused Moose Soho tonight, with inventive one-line craftsman Adam Hess, posh-boy fretting with Hal Cruttenden and the theatrical mania of Phil Nichol, all MCed by Alex Zane.

Saturday January 31
