Back on stage... it's Dapper Laughs

Not so dead after all

Dapper Laughs, the sexist comedy alter-ego Daniel O'Reilly claimed to have killed off, is back doing personal appearances.

Following the release of a Christmas Day video heralding his return, Dapper will take to the stage at the Casino Rooms, Rochester, Kent, on Saturday February 28.

He had been due to appear at the venue before his Newsnight interview when he lied about permanently axing the character as the storm about him promoting ‘rape culture’ raged.

In 2013, the Casino Rooms came under fire for promoting 'National Cleavage Weekender' in which it waived its £3 entrance fee to women who exposed their breasts.

Dapper had been due to go on his ‘Full Length’ tour of the UK next month, but it was cancelled after students in Cardiff protested about the use of a university venue – one of the first skirmishes over misogyny in his act.

This week Dapper also revealed that he had also been out filming, possibly for the six-second Vines which made his name. He told his 359,000 Twitter followers: ‘Freezing filming today! Lots of new stuff coming!’
