Burnistoun is back – and live

One-off gig for Glasgow Comedy Festival

Scottish comedy show Burnistoun is returning – for a live show.

Iain Connell and Robert Florence will be performing characters from their BBC One Scotland show at the Glasgow Comedy Festival in March.

Connell said "We've been itching to do these sketches live for years, then one night we woke up and said to each other "What the f*** are we waiting on?"

‘Only a tiny few people have experienced Jolly Boy John in the flesh. It's time to get him out of the bedroom and into people's faces.’

Florence added: ‘We're honoured that people have continued sharing and enjoying Burnistoun sketches, and it’s time to give those people a great night out.’

The last TV episode, made by Glasgow-based The Comedy Unit –  aired in September 2012, after three series.

The gig – which follows the success of the Still Game revival earlier this year – take place at the King’s Theatre. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10am.
