THE No Such Thing As A Fish podcast, recorded by the QI researchers, has been named best new podcast of 2014 by Apple’s iTunes store. The citation says ‘each lively episode explores provocative trivia to slake our appetite for the intriguingly random’. The best classic podcast title went to Radio 4’s Friday Night Comedy, which alternates between The News Quiz and The Now Show.

TREVOR NOAH is to tour the UK. The South African comedian, who has just appeared on the Royal Variety Show, has announced 17 dates for autumn 2015. The stand-up has also just joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, as a correspondent. Click here for his UK dates for the Lost In Translation tour.

Lee Mack’s Sky 1 quiz show Duck Quacks Don’t Echo is to air in Malaysia, as part of a deal with media group Media Prima. An American version, hosted by stand-up Tom Papa, was also included in the contract, struck by Sky Vision.

THE live show Stephen Fry performed to launch his latest book, More Fool Me, will be released on Netflix on Monday. It was recorded at at London’s Royal Festival Hall in October.

NEWCOMER Joshua Ross has been crowned Jewish Comedian of the Year, winning the £1,000 prize in a competition run by the inaugural Jewish Comedy Festival in North London at the weekend. The other finalists were Candy Gigi, Ben Van Der Velde, Danny Hurst, Joe Jacobs and Sarah Sheldon.
