Michael McIntyre announces 2015 arena tour

Tickets go on sale on Friday

Michael McIntyre has announced a 2015 arena tour entitled Happy & Glorious.

A total of 39 dates have been announced today, starting in Cardiff on September 3 and ending in Leeds on December.

They include five nights at London's O2 Arena, two of which will be recorded for DVD, and three at Wembley Arena. Stand-up Paul Tonkinson, who writes for McIntyre, will be the support act.

McIntyre’s previous tour Showtime was the biggest selling comedy tour in the world in 2012, playing to more than 640,000 people including ten-night run at the O2 which matched Rihanna’s 2011 record.

His three DVDs have also been record-breakers: 2008’s Live and Laughing, the biggest selling UK debut stand-up DVD of its time; Hello Wembley, which in 2009 became the fastest-selling UK stand-up DVD of all time a record it still holds; and 2012’s Showtime.

He recently made his debut as a chat show host on BBC One, although his performance divided the critics.

Tickets for the Happy & Glorious tour go on sale at 9am on Friday. The full schedule is here.
