AMERICAN GQ magazine has named Louis CK the funniest person alive, just ahead of Amy Schumer. The rest of their list is, in order, Key & Peele; The cast of Silicon Valley, Kate McKinnon, John Oliver, Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

NETFILIX has signed a 'multi-year' deal with Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz to develop new shows. It is not known if the contract, the first of its kind for the online channel, will result in more episodes of the sitcom which Netflix revived last year. Hurwitz said it was 'incredibly inspiring to get to produce for Netflix, a company that not only doesn't resist change, but is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone in forging it'.

SIMPSONS creator Matt Groening has written a new book about the show’s 25-year history. The 304-page Simpsons Family History: A Celebration Of Television's Favourite Family will be released in the UK on September 23. Preorder.
