Bridget Christie's up for another award

Nomination in Radio Academy gongs

Bridget Christie has been shortlisted for another award for her Radio 4 series.

Bridget Christie Minds The Gap, which also featured Fred MacAulay, was revealed as one of the nominated shows in the comedy category of the Radio Academy Awards today.

Christie has been garlanded with awards in the last year, starting with the Edinburgh Comedy Award at the Fringe for her feminism-themed show A Bic For Her. It also earned her the South Bank Award for comedy and, last week, the Chortle Award for best show, where Minds The Gap also won the radio award.

Also in the running for the Radio Academy Awards is Here Be Dragons, a sketch show for Radio Wales featuring Cariad Lloyd, Elis James, Lloyd Langford, Nadia Kamil and Sian Harries and written by Ben Partridge and Gareth Gwynn.

The shortlist is completed by John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme on Radio 4; The Blagger's Guide To Doctor Who which David Quantick wrote and performed for Radio 2; and Radio 4‘s comedy impression series The Secret World.

The winner will be revealed at a ceremony on May 12 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, hosted by Chris Evans.
