Pilot filmed next week

Phoneshop actor Javone Prince is set to get his own BBC comedy show.

A non-broadcast pilot of 'characters, sketches, live music and bare madnesses' is being shot at The Rivoli Ballroom in Catford, South London, next Thursday.

Soul singer Omar will perform during the mix of live and pre-recorded sequences and comedian Phil Mann also features. But other guests have yet to be announced.

A former regular on children's sketch shows Horrible Histories and Sorry, I've Got No Head, Prince has also appeared in Rev, Plebs, Life's Too Short, Outnumbered and My Family. But he remains best known for playing Jerwayne in PhoneShop on E4, the wannabe ladies’ man who still lives at his mum's.

Prince also appears in the forthcoming film AmStarDam, starring Rock & Chips' Jonathan Readwin as a young man turning round the fortunes of his father's Amsterdam coffee shop after a magical encounter. Alice Lowe, Lead Balloon's Sean Power, stand-up Eric Lampaert and Lord of The Rings' Billy Boyd co-star in the marijuana comedy, shot in the Dutch capital and London last year.
