Sky orders another series of Ruth Jones's Stella

Sky has commissioned a fourth series of Stella from Ruth Jones.

The broadcaster has ordered another ten hour-long episodes from the comic’s company Tidy Productions.

Work will start on the shows later this year for transmission in 2015.

Jones said: ‘I'm thrilled that Sky viewers love delving into the world of Pontyberry so much that we're being welcomed back for a fourth series. It's stunnin, presh.’

The third series is currently running on Friday nights at 9pm, and attracts around a million viewers to the channel.

Sky’s head of comedy, Lucy Lumsden, said: ‘Stella’s continued success has been a massive part of comedy's journey on Sky 1. With its Welsh warmth and wit, we are delighted to bring back the fourth series for our customers.’

A Christmas special is also in the pipeline, which will start filming next month.
