BRIDGET CHRISTIE and Nick Helm have triumphed at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards today. Christie's feminist-theme show A Bic For Her, which won the Foster's Award at Edinburgh last summer, took home the honours in the comedy category, beating fellow nominees Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa and Sky Arts' Psychobitches. Meanwhile Helm won The Times breakthrough category, which covers all arts genres.

EDDIE IZZARD is to tour his Force Majure show across America, with 43 dates kicking off in Washington on May 1. Pre-sale begins on his website from 10am on Wednesday.

ONE of John Bishop's neighbours has accused the comedian of blocking access to a route through his 24-acre estate in Cheshire. In reply, Bishop's lawyer says the stand-up maintains a public footpath that runs through the land, but has, for security reasons, stopped access to a private driveway that the former owner of the £2.25million ten-bedroom mansion allowed locals to use.

SKY is to post full free episodes of Chris O'Dowd's acclaimed sitcom Moone Boy on YouTube in an attempt to woo viewers to its pay-TV services. It will launch a new channel on February 1 called Sky First Episodes which will also feature its shows A Young Doctor's Notebook, The Tunnel and Moonfleet.

Alasdair Beckett-King – a stand-up, animator and illustrator – won the NATY award for new comedians last night. Garrett Millerick was runner-up and Twayna Mayne and Kelly Kingham shared third place. Review.
