Sitcom role for Fresh Meat's Charlotte

Shooting starts on BBC Three's Siblings

Fresh Meat actress Charlotte Ritchie and Tom Stourton from the Totally Tom sketch group are to star a new sitcom about an ‘obnoxious and lazy’ brother and sister.

The pair have been cast in the BBC Three comedy Siblings, which is set to air in the spring.

Filming has just begun in London on the six-part series, created by Keith Akushie – who previously wrote for Fresh Meat, too. It is being made by Bwark Productions, the company behind The Inbetweeners

Producer Simon Wilson said: ‘We couldn't have wished for two more brilliantly gifted comic performers than Charlotte and Tom to bring Keith Akushie's hilarious creations to life.’

The lead characters are described as ‘a pair of obnoxious, lazy, self-centred, underachieving, incompetent and occasionally depraved siblings who cause chaos and disaster wherever they go'.

Ritchie plays Oregon Shawcross in Fresh Meat and recently launched a music career, releasing the song Hammerite with her brother Luke. She will also star in the forthcoming independent British comedy film Benny & Jolene, about a folk duo (main picture).
