Don't vote... but do take part in 'interactive fan challenges'

Russell Brand has released his own iPhone app.

The comedian and Newsnight interviewee has teamed up with tech company TopFan to launch the free programme which boasts: 'Now you can keep up to speed with the actor and comedian directly on your smartphone.'

It features his Twitter and Facebook feed, photos, videos and news as well as future 'interactive fan challenges' which can be played to build up points to exchange for autographs, merchandise or even a live Skype conversation with the star.

The app – which also works on the iPad – has been rated 12+ for 'infrequent/mild sexual content or nudity' and infrequent/mild profanity or crude humour'.

TopFan has previously created apps for Charlie Sheen, Jamie Foxx and racing driver Oliver Webb. An Android version of Brand's app is expected to launch soon. The iOS version is available here.
