Comic tried to prank Cameron

Dom Joly has revealed that he was pounced on by Special Branch bodyguards when he tried to prank David Cameron.

The comic tried to pull a stunt on the Prime Minister while filming his hidden camera show Fool Britannia at the Cornbury Festival in Oxfordshire last summer.

He was dressed in prosthetics as his antisocial clergyman ASBO vicar when he spotted Cameron ‘buying silly hats for his kids’.

Joly went up to the PM and tapped him on the shoulder, when his security detail pounced and threw him out of the tent.

‘People were watching this and for most of them all they could se was some Special Branch detectives getting rough with a vicar and throwing him out of a tent at a rural event,’ Joly told RadioTimes.com.

‘I like those things. They are exciting.’

He added that he is keen to make a third series of Fool Britannia but is waiting to hear from ITV.
