Arrested Development: There may be more

Netflix boss drops hints

Netflix could make even more episodes of Arrested Development if this weekend’s comeback proves a hit.

But chief executive Ted Sarandos admits it could be a problem getting the star cast back together again.

The video-on-demand service is releasing all 15 episodes of series 4 simultaneously at 8am on Sunday – and has the option in place to make more. Or possibly even a movie.

Sarandos told the Hollywood Reporter: ‘We would love to do more, and we have a deal in place that says that there could be. The problem is logistics. They [the cast] were all working full-time and doing this show in between, and they did it for the love of the show and for [creator] Mitch Hurwitz.

‘If we can muster up that love again, we’d love to do it again. And we have talked openly about a movie scenario, too.’

Star Jason Bateman has already told Rolling Stone magazine: ‘I look forward to doing many, many more episodes... I'm looking forward to playing Michael Bluth many, many more times.’

This weekend’s release are the first new Arrested Development episodes since the series was axed by the Fox network in 2006.
