7 Days comes around again

Al Murray's 5 Live show recommissioned

Radio 5 Live has commissioned another series of Al Murray’s topical show 7 Day Sunday.

But it’s moving a day earlier and renamed 7 Day Saturday when it returns for a 12-week run on June 8.

Murray is just about to start another Sunday-morning music show on digital station Planet Rock, which starts this weekend.

Murray said: ‘It’s going to be great to get our hands on the news a whole day earlier than before.’

Andy Zaltzman will return as a regular, with other guests joining the programme each week. Previously these have included Sarah Millican, Micky Flanagan, and Armando Iannucci.

This will be the fourth series of the Avalon-produced show, which was originally hosted by Chris Addison. It is also available as a podcast, which has previously topped the iTunes chart.
