Comic offers a free grave

Doug Stanhope has offered a free graveyard slot to the Boston bomb suspect – just to spite the town where he grew up.

No cemetery in Massachusetts – or possibly anywhere in America – is apparently willing to take Tamerlan Tsarnaev's remains.

But Stanhope’s family own a cemetery plot in the town of Worcester, Massachusetts, where Tsarnaev's remains are currently being held.

It had been intended for the comic’s father, but the family cremated him instead, leaving the plot empty.

Speaking on the Opie & Anthony radio show, Stanhope said: ‘We have a cemetery plot that is available – for free – for the meat that used to be a guy accused of bombing the fucking Boston marathon.

‘We are giving that up. It’s at the Worcester County Memorial Cemetery in Paxton, Massachusetts, where we had to live for three years as kids - where they fucking hated us and we hated them.

Stanhope said it was ‘just a piece-of-shit, snotty, fucking cunt town. All the hate that I have in comedy is rooted somehow in this town... I want to smite you.’

He added: ‘I’m dead serious. It’s on the table.’

The comic also suggest an inscription for the gravestone: ‘I’m with stupid’ – with the finger pointing upwards to heaven.

Protests were held at the funeral home where Tsarnaev's body is being held at the weekend. One held a sign that read: ‘Bury the garbage in the landfill.’

One campaigner said: ‘I not only don't want to see him buried in Worcester, Massachusetts, very close to where I live, I don't think he should be buried in the state.’

Islam does not allow cremation, and it would also violate Muslim tradition to bury Tsarnaev in an unmarked grave.
