UK to get Griffin's axed talk show

Kathy comes to Comedy Central

Comedy Central has announced that it is to air Kathy Griffin’s chat show in the UK – just days after the show was axed.

The comic hosted two series of Kathy on America’s Bravo network, but earlier this month she confirmed during a stand-up show that the programme had not been renewed.

But now Comedy Central Extra is to air the second series in the UK, starting on 10pm on May 2. Guests on the first show are Lisa Kudrow and Jane Lynch

The show – which also features stand-up segments and pre-recorded scenes, bowed out in the States after 24 episodes, attracting an average of 500,000 viewers.

Earlier this year, CNN commissioned a talk show pilot featuring Griffin and anchorman Anderson Cooper, who have previously hosted New Year’s Eve specials together.
