Have your say before 5pm Friday

The judges have visited 14 universities and seen hundreds of aspiring comedians.

And now here’s your chance to have a say in who goes through to the semi-finals of the Chortle Student Comedy Awards, with ALCATEL ONE TOUCH.

Each of the heat winners are through to the semi-finals in Manchester’s XS Malarkey on May 12 and London’s Boat Show on the Tattershall Castle on May 13 (Tickets).

More places will go to ‘wildcard’ entries chosen by the judges from across all the heats... but one special place has been reserved for the winner of our People’s Choice award.

Polls close at 5pm on Friday, and the winner – plus the wildcard places – will be announced soon afterwards.

At each of the semi-finals, four comedians will be chosen to take part in the final at the Edinburgh Fringe. The ultimate winner chosen on August 12 in Pleasance One will win £2,000.

The competition is also backed by Universal Pictures (UK).
