Inside Vic & Bob's House

Details of BBC sitcom revealed

More details have emerged about the new sitcom Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are working on for the BBC.

The duo will be piloting the show, called Vic And Bob’s House Of Fools next week, promising ‘anarchic japes, unimaginable props and impossible situations with a stellar cast’.

Mortimer first revealed the show’s existence on Twitter last month, saying that it was provisionally called Fuck This House.

The show is set in Bob’s flat, which he shares with Vic, plus his own Norwegian son, Erik, played by stand-up Daniel Simonsen. Next door is their landlady, Julie, a fantasist played by Morgana Robinson.

Visitors to the flat include the lothario Beef, played by Matt Berry, and Geordie ex-con, Bosh, played by Angelos Epithemiou creator Dan Skinner.

The BBC blurb says: ‘Amidst this chaos, Bob is trying to organise his first date in over six months. Will he be able to get a grip on his new lady friend - or will he be scuppered by the obstacles which keep, literally, blocking his way?’

Last year, Reeves said he felt unwanted by the BBC after they cancelled Shooting Stars.

The pilot will not be broadcast.
