Lamb and Steadman reunited

ITV show for Gavin & Stacey duo

Gavin and Stacey duo Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb are to be reunited in a new ITV comedy-drama.

The pair – who played Gavin’s parents, Mick and Pam – are part of the ensemble cast for the six-part series Love And Marriage.

Steadman plays the matriarch of the none-too-subtly named Paradise family, a lollipop lady who causes chaos when she walks out of her relationship.

The cast also includes Victoria Wood favourites Duncan Preston and Celia Imrie, as well as Ashley Jensen from Extras and Graeme Hawley, who played John Stape in Coronation Street.

The show is currently being filmed in Coventry and is expected to air later this year. It has been written by Stewart Harcourt, who previously penned episodes of Marple, Agatha Christie’s Poirot and Inspector George Gently.

Tiger Aspect’s executive producer Rebecca de Souza said: ‘Stewart has created the most delightful, funny show. It asks all the big questions about love and marriage.’
