Gilbert goes to Hollywood

US sitcom pilot for Morgana character

Morgana Robinson is piloting an American sitcom, based around her awkward teenage boy character, Gilbert.

The Very Important People star revealed she was working on the project after picking up the breakthrough act gong at this week’s British Comedy Awards.

‘I’ve got a pilot in LA, we’re shooting a pilot for a sitcom, that’s really exciting,’ she said. ‘It’s starting my ultimate favourite character, Gilbert, he’s the star of the show. They love him over there and I’m unbelievably chuffed.’

The nerdy Gilbert began life on Channel 4’s The TNT Show in 2009, interviewing celebrities. He then appeared on Robinson’s own short-lived show, making a video diary.
