TV comeback for Michael Richards?

Alongside two Cheers stars

Three greats of American sitcom could be brought together in a new show.

Seinfeld star Michael Richards is set for a TV comeback alongside Cheers alumnae Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman in a pilot episode of Giant Baby.

According to Deadline, Alley will star as a Broadway star who comes face-to-face with the son she gave up for adoption 26 years ago, to be played by Eric Petersen.

Richards will play her limo driver, while Perlman is her long-suffering assistant

Richards has done little TV work since Seinfeld ended in 1998. His own sitcom was short-lived and he appeared on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm – and risks being more famous for his racist reaction to hecklers at a 2006 stand-up show than he is for his acting.

Giant Baby is being piloted for the TV Land channel.
