New Stephen Merchant film trailer out

Preview of I Give It A Year

The first trailer has been released for I Give It A Year – a new Britcom starring Rafe Spall and Stephen Merchant.

The film is said to pick up where other romantic comedies end, and follow the first year of the marriage between Byrne’s character Josh and Nat, played by Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne.

Merchant starts off the trailer with an embarrassing best man speech, while other scenes show Olivia Colman as a marriage guidance counsellor taking rather too much glee in hearing about the couple’s problems.

The movie comes from Working Title, producers of Bridget Jones's Diary and Love Actually - and was written and directed by Dan Mazer, who also co-wrote the Sacha Baron Cohen films Borat and Bruno.

I Give It A Year – which also stars Anna Faris,Simon Baker, Jason Flemyng and Minnie Driver – will be out in cinemas on February 8.
